Background
Psychologist Judith Anderson has helped advance the growing field of climate psychology – exploring how we think and feel in response to the climate and ecological crises. She served as Chair of the Climate Psychology Alliance in the UK from 2020 to 2024 and has co-edited two books about mental health and psychology in a time of climate breakdown.
Judith asked me to create a website that would provide a home for her writing and bring together her articles, talks, podcasts and books.
What I did
I designed an atmospheric website using beautiful and sometimes ephemeral photography to reflect the themes within Judith’s work. The refined, pared-back design allows her writing to take centre stage, with clear typography and a spacious layout that invites people to read and explore.
The website includes an easy to use content management system, enabling Judith to publish new writing and manage the site herself. I also took steps to minimise its carbon footprint – an important consideration for a website addressing the climate and ecological crises.
