Task
Help the six South West Energy Efficiency Advice Centres encourage people to make simple pledges to reduce their energy use.
What I did
The original text had been written by an energy expert. Discussing it with the client, we agreed that the information needed to be much shorter, punchier and more accessible to a non-expert audience. I wrote the text, keeping the information simple and engaging, with a clear call to action, so that people could quickly understand both the purpose of the campaign and what they could personally do.
I developed the visual concept around the idea that small actions could make a world of difference – small circles combining to form the world. I applied this identity across printed posters and cards, a display, graphic email and website.
Result
The campaign successfully encouraged people to take their first steps towards reducing their emissions. The pledges made through the campaign were calculated to save 1,735 tonnes of CO2.
