The name comes from The Monkey Wrench Gang, the provocative novel by Edward Abbey about a group of four misfits united by a noble cause to save the American wilderness from destruction.
I’ve dedicated my 28-year career to supporting organisations creating positive impact. And for around 20 years – since going to the Newbury bypass protest in 1996 – I was an environmental campaigner and activist. Fed up with the wave of superficial ‘ethical design’ and ‘purpose-driven’ agencies, I’ve launched Monkey Wrench to help people, organisations and businesses looking to throw a spanner in the works and create radical change.
