What I did

brand identity graphic design

Background

The Becoming Adult project, based at the University of Oxford, is researching the uncertain futures of young people who migrated to the UK on their own as children, as they turn 18. The project has a diverse audience from policymakers and academics to young migrants.

Branding

I created a brand identity that highlights the concept of an ‘uncertain future’ – ambiguous legal status and myriad pathways and viewpoints – by using an angular and confusing background pattern. The client believes this to be eye-catching and appropriate to 18-year-old migrants and that it differentiates it from other often dry, academic research projects.

Graphic design

I created business cards, a leaflet, report covers and six research summary documents. The identity has also been applied to the project website.

Results

The suite of materials and the unique brand identity ensure the project stands out and looks professional, as well as helping to raise its profile.

Testimony
