The Palestinian History Tapestry illustrates the story of this land from the Neolithic period to the present. It has been made by Palestinian women within and outside Palestine, many of them in refugee camps across the Middle East. The Tapestry is an expression of sumud (steadfastness) and solidarity. It draws attention to the history and heritage of the Palestinian people and their land, and to their internationally confirmed right to return to the homes from which they were expelled in 1948. The Tapestry is being exhibited in London, Oxford and internationally.

I designed the 32-page brochure, showing all of the tapestries and highlighting significant panels. The design is clean and clear, allowing the works of art to shine. Funds raised from the sale of the brochure will be used to provide continued support for the Palestinian History Tapestry Project.

“I have been very impressed with the quality of Mark’s work, which has resulted in a brochure which is being widely admired.” — Sir Iain Chalmers, Coordinator
