Branding for project on young migrants
Services: visual identity / graphic design
The Becoming Adult project, based at the University of Oxford, is researching the uncertain futures of young people who migrated to the UK on their own as children, as they turn 18. The project has a diverse audience from policymakers and academics to young migrants.
We created a brand identity that highlights the concept of an ‘uncertain future’ – ambiguous legal status and myriad pathways and viewpoints – by using an angular and confusing background pattern. The client believes this to be eye-catching and appropriate to 18-year-old migrants and that it colourfully differentiates the project from other, often dry, academic research projects.
We created business cards, a six-page leaflet and a report cover for future publications. The identity has also been applied to the project website.
The suite of materials and the unique brand identity ensures the project stands out, looks professional and will help to raise its profile.
“Very many thanks again. We are really happy with the results and have had very positive feedback.”
